Chief Technology Officer

Our client is one of the top wireless technology companies in the industry.
 
RELATIONSHIP
This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer. 
 
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
The Chief Technology Officer (“CTO”) will be responsible for providing overall technical leadership for the company and will lead the development and execution of technology strategies. As a key member of the senior management team, this individual will focus on improving the quality, functionality, and deliverability of the Company’s technology infrastructure. Working in close coordination and collaboration with the other members of the executive team, the CTO will develop the company’s technology roadmap. Areas of responsibility for the CTO will include, but are not limited to, the following: technology roadmap, R&D, software development, enterprise architecture, product realization, system and platform development, revenue application development, and customer analytics architecture. 
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates must have the following:
DDD A minimum of ten years of technology development experience in a senior leadership capacity rising to either the CTO or second-in-command of the function.
   
DDD Track record of aligning technology, architecture, development, and engineering objectives and programs to enterprise strategies. 
   
DDD Strategic leadership capability to visualize the pragmatic potential of advanced systems, convert this vision to effective strategic plans, have the leadership capability to motivate others to pursue this vision, and have the management capacity to see that schedules, budgets and objectives are met. 
   
DDD Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a large, geographically distributed and organizationally complex technology staff and collaborate productively with other parts of the organization. 
   
DDD Proven track record of building, training, and developing a high-performing team. Has managed teams of at least 500 technology professionals. 
   
DDD Ability to quickly grasp the key operating levers of the Company’s business operations, anticipate future business trends, technology developments and market expectations, and translate them into new opportunities.
   
DDD Expertise in developing disruptive external, customer-facing technologies and applications.
   
DDD Experience working in growth environments and a proven change agent. 
   
DDD Proven track record of maximizing the mix of in-house and outsourced technology. 
   
DDD Experience managing a significant sized technology budget. 
   
DDD Experience in developing, implementing and managing enterprise-wide applications and systems. 
   
DDD Track record of developing and implementing winning technology strategies within a large, complex organization.
   
DDD Ability to understand the long-term (“big picture”) and short-term perspectives of situations.
 
EDUCATION
A Bachelor’s Degree is required. A Master’s Degree in a technical discipline or MBA is preferred.
