RELATIONSHIP
This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer.
 
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
The Chief Technical Officer (“CTO”) will be the technical visionary, responsible for providing the overall technical leadership and strategy for the organization. As a key member of the senior leadership team, this executive will play a significant role in creating an exceptional consumer experience and scaling and evolving the technology platform as our client continues its track record of growth. In close collaboration with the other members of the executive team, and with the support of the internal technical organization, the CTO will continue and strengthen our client’s position of sustainable competitive advantage in online virtual experience and social media. 
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates must have the following:
DDD Ten to fifteen plus years of experience in a technical arena, rising to either the CTO or second-in-command of a best-in-class technology organization. 
 
DDD Five to ten plus years leading at the most senior levels of an organization as a member of a corporate executive leadership team with a proven track record in influencing and adding value. 
 
DDD Experience building and launching revolutionary web technology. 
 
DDD Experience designing, creating, and tackling business challenges with innovative and complex high engagement, experience-based consumer products. 
 
DDD Stellar track record of aligning technology, architecture, development and engineering objectives and programs with the company’s vision. 
 
DDD Prior background in communications, web, networking, gaming, software, and/or social media. 
 
DDD Proven track record launching successful B2C products. 
 
DDD Extensive experience working with a product that has had significant consumer impact and represents a deep consumer experience.
 
DDD Deep knowledge of how to integrate the technology and product with the business. 
 
DDD Strong business acumen, with a strategic mindset and ROI mentality. Demonstrated experience of adding business value from this frame of reference.
 
DDD Significant experience hiring and developing talent and working closely with the Chief Executive Officer to take the company through a high growth period. 
 
DDD Experience leading and managing teams of at least 100.
 
EDUCATION
An undergraduate degree in a technical field is required. A masters degree is a plus.
 
COMPENSATION
The selected candidate will receive an attractive compensation package, which will be commensurate with experience, and will include a base salary, annual cash bonus, and equity.
