TITLE
Director, Brand and Creative
LOCATION

RELATIONSHIP
This position reports to the Head of Marketing.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the brand strategy and creative development efforts for a new product under an iconic financial services brand. Ensure consistency in brand messaging across the footprint, maintaining brand strength and differentiation. Develop and promote a relevant, compelling, and enduring brand framework to drive brand revitalization, product extension, and revenue generation for the company and partners.
More specifically, responsibilities will include:
- Lead advertising agency brand positioning efforts and integration plans supporting partner clubs. Contribute to establishing, managing, and extending the super-regional brand vision and strategy, and connect consistently to external and internal marketing programs.
- Develop a messaging architecture and competitive positioning to ensure cohesive branding, and explore opportunities for shared brand initiatives and related marketing opportunities.
- Partner with agencies and research team to collect and leverage data for brand health and equity measurement, including relevance, differentiation, and brand engagement. Lead communication and action planning with company executives and partner clubs as appropriate.
- Identify and implement strategies and tactics that will enhance brand image and increase brand awareness, including brand identity development and coordination across all customer and employee touch points to ensure an effective, unified brand image.
- Maximize the brand team's effectiveness and capabilities in brand strategy, while providing proper career guidance; ensure that low value production activities are automated through self-service or internal customers. Ensure effective delivery of self-service brand tools to out of footprint partners.
- Manage brand management staff (two to three) and advertising program budget, market research staff (two to three), and program budget.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates must have the following:
- Senior leadership experience in brand management or advertising.
- Mastery of brand strategy and consumer insights, methodologies, and processes, as well as experience overseeing staff in these functions.
- Proven track record in development and deployment of internal and external brand integration campaigns and programs.
- Advertising strategy development and program delivery expertise.
- Mastery in presentation skills and ability to influence executives.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related field required. An MBA or DMA certification is preferred.
COMPENSATION
