Our client is a leading global investment management firm.

This position reports to the Chief Investment Officer.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
The Head, Asset and Risk Management will be responsible for overseeing all enterprise risk (including but not limited to: credit, financial, market, operational, and technology risk) for a global fund with a significant transportation focus. This will include evaluating, monitoring, and developing sophisticated surveillance and reporting of risk exposures and developing credit strategies that enable industry leading growth, while maintaining predictable and disciplined credit performance levels.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates must have the following:
- Ten or more years risk management experience with at least five years monitoring risk associated with large, complex transportation assets. Must have a deep understanding of the credit, market, and operational risk associated with this class of assets.
- Five years experience managing multi-jurisdictional assets. Must have a deep understanding as to how to identify and mitigate risk associated with assets in foreign jurisdictions.
- A deep understanding of large, complex transportation assets. Proven success in assessing the current physical state, the required levels of service and delivery, and monitoring the condition of asset holdings.
- Successful in implementing an asset and risk management function. Proven ability to drive the process and work without a strong infrastructure.
- Experience in managing the contracting and negotiations of large asset acquisitions.
- Experience managing a portfolio of transportation assets valued in excess of $1 billion.
