Lynn M. Wu
Principal

Ms. Wu is a Principal in the Los Angeles office of Morgan Samuels and is responsible for both executing and securing executive search assignments.

Leveraging over a decade of recruiting experience and her technical background, Ms. Wu has successfully executed over 50 retained search assignments across a wide range of industries and functions since joining the firm in 2008, with an emphasis on global engineering, construction, and technology searches across all functional areas at the Vice President and C-Level.

Prior to joining Morgan Samuels, Ms. Wu was an Associate in the Private Wealth Management group of Morgan Stanley, one of the largest investment banks and global financial services firms in the world. As an investment advisor, Ms. Wu provided highly customized financial advice to wealthy families and focused extensively on new business development.

Prior to Morgan Stanley, Ms. Wu was a Staffing Manager at Robert Half International, where she was the top sales producer of the Palo Alto OfficeTeam division. In this role Ms. Wu placed administrative professionals in temporary and temp-to-hire positions and played a significant role in increasing gross margins and revenues by closing numerous strategic accounts.

Ms. Wu was previously the Project Discovery Advisor at The National Hispanic University, where she created and implemented the inaugural Science and Technology Day, recruiting over 50 minority high school students into math and science college programs. Ms. Wu was also previously the Recruiting Director for Lovegevity.com, a national wedding planning company. She successfully launched the company's sales organization, designed and implemented a sales training program from the ground up and managed a team of ten recruiters.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Wu was a Business Development Manager and Senior Technical Recruiter for Heuristics Search, a technology staffing firm focused on placing software engineers and technology executives for private equity and venture backed companies in the Silicon Valley. Ms. Wu was responsible for both business development and candidate placement and achieved distinction as the company's top producer. After her tenure at Heuristics Search, Ms. Wu co-founded the spin-off Kyros Careers with several colleagues.

Ms. Wu holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a BS in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University.
