Mary Lees
Senior Consultant

Ms. Lees is a Senior Consultant in the Los Angeles office of Morgan Samuels and is responsible for both executing and securing executive search assignments.

Prior to joining Morgan Samuels, Ms. Lees was a practicing attorney in a high volume national law firm. Ms. Lees' practice focused on defending large credit providers at both the state and federal level. Ms. Lees began her litigation career in general civil litigation, focusing on employment and entertainment law and construction defects.

Ms. Lees was a former Human Resources Manager at Movielink, LLC; a joint venture company owned by six major film studios. While at Movielink, Ms. Lees was responsible for implementing and managing the healthcare program, ensuring compliance with all State and Federal Employment laws, as well as analyzing legislation affecting company policies. Ms. Lees' role also involved the recruitment and assessment of potential employees.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Lees worked in international film sales, where she analyzed the products available in all major film markets for seven international distribution companies. She was also responsible for implementing and creating an extensive product guide for each client, which included the contractual terms and coverage attached to each product, as well as tailoring it to the needs and legal parameters for each client's county of origin. Additionally, Ms. Lees served as a member of the negotiating team charged with establishing the product distribution rights between the client and the seller.

Ms. Lees holds a J.D. from University of Miami, where she spent a semester studying International Law at University College of London and received her B.S. in Psychology from Loyola University, New Orleans.
