Monica L. Bua
Senior Client Partner

Ms. Bua is a Senior Client Partner in the Los Angeles and Santiago offices of Morgan Samuels and is responsible for managing client relationships including assessment, placement, and development of senior leaders and their teams.  Since joining the Firm in 2004, she has built our digital media, internet, and telecommunications practice.  This expertise at Morgan Samuels has been instrumental in securing key partnerships with premier technology companies.

Ms. Bua brings over a decade of global recruiting experience, and her clients include large publicly-traded corporations, middle-market companies, and top-tier private equity and venture capital-backed enterprises.  She is continually called upon to build executive teams around disruptive and next generation product strategies and launches.  Ms. Bua is an expert in executive assessment and has conducted numerous C-level assignments.  She has developed CEO succession plans and is well known for her strategic partnership and hiring entire C-suites.  Ms. Bua places top talent across multiple functions in the digital convergence and mobile sector as well as consumer-facing companies looking to transition onto digital platforms.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Bua held roles as an international recruiter for Trilogy Inc.’s Paris office and in marketing for CollegeHire.com.  At Trilogy, Ms. Bua designed a successful global recruiting program throughout Scotland, England, Ireland, Spain, and Switzerland.  As a founding member of CollegeHire.com, she led the company's national marketing campaign.

Ms. Bua holds a MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management and an Advanced International Management certificate.  She graduated from Boston College, cum laude, with a BA in Human Development.
