Morgan Samuels Company Places Key Executive at Deckers Outdoor Corporation

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – February 4, 2010 – Morgan Samuels Company, a leading national management consulting firm specializing in executive recruitment, today announced the placement of Yul Vanek as Vice President, IT at Deckers Outdoor Corporation. Deckers Outdoor Corporation makes and markets Teva sports sandals (a cross between a hiking boot and a flip-flop) and UGGs (sheepskin boots/shoes). Other product lines include Simple and TSUBO. Deckers Outdoor's products are made by independent contractors in Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. It sells them through ten United States retail stores, independent distributors, catalogs, the Internet, and two company-owned outlets in the United Kingdom.

Vanek had most recently been Program Advisor, Luxottica Retail North American – Luxottica Group, S.P.A. Previous to that, Vanek was Program Advisor – New Balance, Incorporated.
