MORGAN SAMUELS COMPANY PLACES KEY EXECUTIVES AT WAMU

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – July 28, 2008 – Morgan Samuels Company, a leading national management consulting firm specializing in executive recruitment, today announced four executive placements at Washington Mutual. WaMu is one of the nation's leading consumer and small business banks.

The company has named Susan Martoia as Division Audit Manager, Compliance. Martoia had most recently been the Vice President, Senior Audit Manager at Wells Fargo. Previous to that, Martoia was the Senior Vice President, Compliance at Centennial Bank Holdings, Incorporated. Susan Martoia received her BS in Management from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Also appointed, Susan Allen was named Chief Collateral Officer. Allen had most recently been the Vice President, Risk Management at GMAC ResCap. Previous to that, Allen was a Vice President, Risk Management at United States Bancorp. Susan Allen received her MBA at Indiana University in Bloomington and her BA in Financial Administration from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan.
