Smith had most recently been the Vice President and General Manager, Medicaid at Coventry Health Care, Incorporated.  Previous to that, Smith was the Director, Medicaid Operations at Coventry Health Care, Incorporated.  Smith received her MBA from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan and her Bachelor of Science in Health Administration from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
