Kaiser Permanente has appointed Chuck Bevilacqua Vice President of National Benefits Administration. Bevilacqua will be responsible for improving the effectiveness, versatility, and efficiency of benefit administration throughout Kaiser Permanente. Bevilacqua comes to Kaiser Permanente from Cigna Corporation where as Vice President of Employer Services in the Healthcare division, he developed and implemented a site consolidation plan achieving economies of scale and reducing expenses by $8 million. Bevilacqua holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a concentration in marketing from Central Connecticut University.
Brinderson, an engineering and construction firm headquartered in Westminster, California, has named Gregory Hartnett Vice President of Engineering. Hartnett will lead the effort to expand the industrial engineering/contracting market and cultivate market development goals and requirements. Hartnett most recently held the post of Vice President for project development at Foster Wheeler North America, Inc. where he managed projects with a combined value of more than $1 billion and played a key role in developing new projects associated with heavy industrial facilities in the Mid-East. Hartnett holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from California State University-Long Beach and a Certificate in Business Management from University of California-Irvine.
Brinderson has appointed James M. Harris Vice President of Sales & Marketing. As part of Brinderson’s senior management team, Harris will play a key role in updating and implementing long-term strategic plans for the company. He will create and capture new business opportunities, identify customer needs and provide leadership, direction and management of Brinderson’s sales staff. Harris most recently held the post of Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Frank W. Hake, Inc. & The Hake Group. While there, Harris managed bidding, contract negotiations, operations management, and profit/loss responsibilities for all inter-company turnkey construction projects valued at $1 million and over. Harris holds a Bachelor of Science in mathematics and a Bachelor of Science in business administration both from Pennsylvania State University.
Donald J. Blodgett has been named Audit Consultant Principal by the Parsons Corporation. Blodgett is charged with conducting specialized investigations of systems and operations worldwide, with a particular focus on the potential for fraud or wrongdoing on the part of employees, consultants, partners and subcontractors. He joins Parsons Corporation from KB Home, where as Internal Audit Vice President he directed auditing of the company’s purchasing activities that identified over $5 million of recoverable back charges with more than $1 million recovered to date. Blodgett is a certified public accountant and holds a Master of Science in taxation from Golden Gate University and a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Myers College.
Parsons Corporation has appointed Janis Y. Rhodes Vice President of Development. Rhodes will be the lead in a three-person team to bring Parsons into the commercial development business, which will initially design, build, own, and operate parking facilities. Rhodes was most recently Owner and Principal at JR Associates and has provided consultant services throughout her career for a variety of public and private sector clients. She has managed transportation and parking operations for a large land grant university, municipalities and a private parking operator in major urban areas of the country. Rhodes holds both a Master of Science in Urban Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.
Susan L. O’Keefe has been named Supply Chain Director at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company’s Engineered Products Division, where she will provide operating leadership and strategic direction as the global process owner for Goodyear EPD’s Supply Chain. In this position she will be directly responsible for balance sheet and profit improvement by achieving world-class performance in inventory turns, cost of goods, scrap reduction, and logistic effectiveness. O’Keefe most recently served as Vice President of Strategic Business Optimization at Saint-Gobain Containers, Inc. where she directed the annual generation of a five-year strategic plan and full business budget, including a capital investment plan. O’Keefe holds a Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in management engineering, and Bachelor of Science in biology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
