Vice President, Learning and Performance
 
Amy S. Day is Vice President, Learning and Performance in the Beverly Hills office of Morgan Samuels Company and is responsible for establishing the corporate learning agenda and developing programs and policies to improve individual and firm performance.
 
Ms. Day has over ten years experience in leveraging her Organizational Development and leadership coaching expertise to raise performance levels in the corporate environment. She joined Morgan Samuels from PIMCO, one of the largest fixed income managers in the world, where she served as Head of Learning and Development.
 
During her tenure at PIMCO Ms. Day led a team responsible for the learning and development needs of over 900 employees globally. Working directly with the managing partners of the firm, Ms. Day developed strategic learning agendas for each business unit resulting in targeted organizational development and training initiatives. Ms. Day personally coached executives and mid-level managers on leadership, change management, and presentation skills.
 
Earlier in her career, Ms. Day worked for Capital One Financial as a Senior Learning Consultant and as an operations manager. During her tenure at Capital One, Ms. Day designed the training strategy for a $550 million billing system replacement project which impacted over 8,000 end users worldwide. Ms. Day also led call center teams and an 80 person credit card processing operation in which she implemented a high performance work team approach which led to cost savings of $1.1 million.
 
Ms. Day holds an MA in Organizational Management from Fielding Graduate University and a BBA in Organizational Behavior and Business Policies from Southern Methodist University. She also is a certified executive coach through the Coaches Training Institute and is a member of the Organizational Development Network and the American Society for Training and Development.
